About Dianas Argentum

First let me tell you about what the name means. Diana was the goddess of the hunt, associated with wild animals and forests. Argentum is Latin for silver. So its Diana’s silver, the name of the kennel. What better suits this breed???

The kennel started with Brita, a bitch imported from Slovakia. She really taught me all… She showed me the amazing instincts they have, the passion for hunting. With her I started to love working with pointers, hunting and just enjoying this breed.

  • 2005.

    Dianas Argentum was registered in 2005. under FCI 114/05

  • 2007.

    In the meantime, I met Mimmi Erixon, the owner of the Mimmtrix kennel. I am proud to call her my friend and my mentor. From her I imported my second bitch Mimmtrix Anni till Dianas Argentum. She was pick of the litter and she grown up to be a beautiful bitch with great working instincts, everything I thought she would be. I am truly grateful to Mimmi for her.

    Then, our first litter came in 2007. Brita was mated in Sweden again thanks to Mimmi and to her dog, Mimmtrix Love. We got 11 great puppies now all grown up, living and hunting in Croatia

  • 2009.

    Our second litter was from our amazing Anni and Brita’s son, Dianas Argentum Wow, in 2009. We got 7 puppies, from which one girl, Dianas Argentum Gea, is now our third love, a new addition to our family.

    We are now a family of  six (Marija, Ivan, Brita, Anni, Nera /our adopted mix bitch/ and Gea) and our philosophy is simple… First of all we love our dogs, they are part of our family, they live with us and participate in our everyday life.

    Second, the Weimaraner is a HUNTING breed, that’s what they were bred for, that’s what makes they hearts full. The working instincts define this breed not less then, for example, the color of the hair. German breeders worked hard to make it one of the best working dogs, and who are we to ignore this?

    Our family got richer for a new addition, Geas granddougther, Leeloo

    We imported a beautiful bitch, Honey from one of the best European kennels, Silberweiss Jager. Thank you Marie for this!

  • 2021.

    This year was very sad and very happy also. Our Anni crossed the rainbow bridge in the 15. Year of life.
    We miss her so much.
    Also we imported a male from Australia, from Bromhund kennels, one of the best kennels in the world.
    We are so happy to have beautiful Mac with us!

About the breeding…

We never mate bitches before they are three years old, and one bitch is not having more then 3 litters in her life.

We try as much as we can to breed healthy puppies, x ray the parents and never do too close in breeding.

IMPORTANT: Please note that puppies’ tails in all future Dianas Argentum litters WILL NOT BE DOCKED!
